Volunteers
Volunteers provide needed services at Trousdale Medical Center by assisting with office work, visiting patients and their families, hosting in the Front Lobby and in the Cardiac Clinic, delivering meal trays and helping with fundraising events to benefit TMC’s holiday outreach, Christmas for Kids.

Volunteering offers a vast array of benefits. Lasting friendships are formed. Patients and visitors are provided services that are above and beyond the normal healthcare setting. Knowledge is gained about the medical field and new skills are developed such as computer skills, clerical skills and people skills. Many volunteers come to work at Trousdale Medical Center to make a decision about changing careers or about pursuing educational opportunities.
Fundraising Programs
The volunteers of Trousdale Medical Center
participate in the Christmas for Kids Fundraising which is their primary outreach in the community. They also work
with volunteers from Sumner Regional Medical Center to fundraise for healthcare scholarships for students from Sumner and Trousdale counties who are pursuing a medical career. Each March, the auxiliary sponsors a spring benefit luncheon. Numerous other fundraising events take place year-round, including the Lovelights program with lights sold in honor or in memory of loved ones. Download

The Scholarship Committee accepts scholarship applications until June 15 for students who have completed at least one year toward their degree in a health-related field. Barbara Raines Medical Scholarship Applications are available in the Volunteer Office of Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin or in the Administration Office at Trousdale Medical Center.
